Freaky Woman

Painting from last week. There was some lovely brown paper in the class so I worked on that, the colours came out totally different on it to usual and it was actually very hard to get warm skin tones on it, hence the weird white gobliny creature I ended up painting! I'm going to fill in the background with colour so she's not floating in space so much, we'll see what kind of difference that'll make.

Saatchi Online + last weeks painting

Hey guys, I discovered a new site this week, http://www.saatchionline.com/discover, it's a great place for seeing new work, but also if some of ye were so inclined ye can sign up, put your own work up there and put it for sale, the site takes care of printing, shipping etc. Something to think about maybe!

Also, my painting from last week, shakey!

Screenprinting

I was screenprinting over the weekend at Cork Printmakers, best weekend ever! Here's a couple of prints on paper (700g cartridge... lovely!), I did a few tshirts and bags as well, really enjoyable weekend, would love to do more.

More Painting

From last weeks life drawing class, very enjoyable, but quite a wonky result! The shoulders and body are very wasted looking, when perspective goes bad! Really enjoying the whole learning process of it though.

Painting Attempt

I tried painting at my life class last week, these are the results, pretty terrible! Although to be honest I thought it was going to be worse, at least you can tell it's a person!

Again, the top image here is half way through the class. I chickened out of trying to sort out the hands at the end of the class and just painted a background instead! There's LOADS wrong with the final result, but I absolutely loved doing it, can't wait to give it another go this week.

Random Fashion Girl

Hey guys,

I have nothing new for this week (boo!) so i'm posting an old wacom painting I did. I really enjoyed doing it and at the time I was like "i'm definitely doing more of these" and then I never did another one again! I will get back to them though, eventually.

It's from a Vogue photo, I find Vogue brilliant for fashion photography which is always really nice to draw, lovely lighting and colours, and beautiful girls of course!

I'm loving this blog by the way, so interesting seeing all the different styles and lovely work!

Peace!

Hey lads, hope ye all had a lovely Christmas! Noel got me these class copic markers for Christmas, wohoo! So I got stuck into them for this, my Christmas peace illustration! It's a photo of the drawing, so not the best quality, i'll see how it scans as well.

More Life Drawing

So MORE life drawing, full figure this time, finding it as difficult as ever!

The top one is about 1/2 way through the class, I actually prefer it to the final thing, typically! Didn't have time to finish colouring it, wanted to take a picture of the model and finish it at home but thought that might be weird?!

AND... a photo of the lovely crayons / pastels!

Life Drawing

This is from my life drawing class, done in expensive-but-worth-it Conté crayons (love them!) and those cheap-but-nice mungyo pastels.
